Where should you keep your cake if it’s been delivered before your celebration?
There can be debate around where you should store your cake, should it go in the fridge? Should it stay on the worktop?
The truth is cake is best served at room temperature, cake served from the fridge can seem hard and dry. In reality the fridge doesn’t dry out cakes, they are just cold.
Unless your cake maker has told you that your cake needs to remain in the fridge due to the fillings or coverings used e.g. fresh cream you don’t need to keep it refrigerated.
This means you can leave your cake in the box supplied in a cool place until you a ready to serve it.
For me my kitchen is the coolest room in the house so I leave cakes on the worktop until serving.
You should keep your cake out of direct sunlight so don’t leave it in front of a window.
If you’ve ordered your cake from Cake, Jen Baked I’ll give you all the information you need so you know how to travel with and store your cake.
